Welcome to BannedMe.com

It's finally happened. You've been politely given a link to this website by someone. Maybe it's an admin of a forum, or a moderator of the local newspaper's website, or a longtime friend from MySpace. Or maybe you've just stumbled across our humble online home  after searching in Google.

Whatever the reason, welcome! Here at BannedMe.com we can help you learn to get along better (and stop getting banned) from websites.

We've split the website into three areas - Newbie, Intermediate and Power Posters. Not only will we have information on being banned from websites, we'll also have tips and tricks that will make your experience participating in online communities even better.  And if you haven't yet gotten what all the fuss is about, we'll show you the benefits of interacting online.

Newbies:

You're a newbie if you don't know what the word newbie means. Basically, it's someone who is relatively new to either the Internet in general or a specific website. So you can still be a newbie even if you've been online for years and years. There's nothing wrong with being a newbie. In fact, there are a lot of benefits like people having more patience when interacting with you and cutting you breaks if you mess up.

Intermediate:

Intermediates have been online a while and are familiar with one or more specific online communities. They may only have one forum they go to, or a dozen, but they're on the web almost every single day. They've just gotten the hang of things and are looking for more - more out of their online experience and more out of the communities where they're a member.

Power Posters:

Power Posters are the long time players and members. If you're a moderator or have been asked to be a moderator once or more, you're a power poster. Your know your way around most forum software (the differences between phpBB and vBulletin are something you can explain to your grandmother)  and have spent a lot of time online learning the ins and outs of how virtual communities work. You know the good the bad and the ugly.
BannedMe.com 4 Life

Whichever group you belong to, you're bound to get something out of this website. (Even if it's a cheap laugh. We'll take what we can get to lighten your mood if you've been banned and ended up on this website.)

If you think someone would benefit from the pearls of knowledge available here, please feel free to pass them a link to this website. If you don't know how, just ask for help. You may have been banned once or more, but you're still a netizen!

Enjoy your stay at BannedMe.com and spread the word. Because we all know someone who's been banned at least once.

Note to readers: if you end up being banned from BannedMe.com, you're hopeless and should disconnect your computer from the Internet before you manage to somehow break it. Thanks.
