#10 - Even the trolls are avoiding you - Not all sites tolerate trolls, but if you're in an online community where they operate and they're not talking to you, you're most likely a few steps away from banishment. Mind your bad jokes and step away from the keyboard for a day or two to get your priorities straight.

#9 - When you log onto the site, everyone else logs off - If you log onto a site and all the other users suddenly log off and disappear, you're on the road to being banned.  It's like you're a character named "Stinky" and you literally stink and people leave the room when you walk in - even if that room is the size of a stadium. Clean up your act.

#8 - You get an private message from a moderator - If you find a nice but firm warning from a friendly moderator in your inbox, you're headed toward banishment. This is akin to being sent to the principle's office if you're a fifth grader. And if you're this close to being banned, you probably have the mentality of a fifth grader. Act your age.

#7 - You get a private message from the admin - If the head honcho of the site contacts you to tell you you're messing up, you're driving toward Ban Town. In a fast car. That's most likely stolen. Because how could someone so close to being banned be able to afford a fast car. Either way, slow down and proceed as if there was a yellow light and you've never heard of the movie Starman.

#6 - No one comes to your rescue - If other members of a community start to belittle and make fun of you and not a single person comes to your assist, you're possibly being considered for a ban. Check your behavior and make some friends.

#5 - Threads you start drop to page three and four quickly - If threads you start are avoided like they're infected with a virus and no one reads or responds in them, you may be entering the realm of banishment.

#4 Your jokes aren't funny anymore - If for some miraculous reason no one is laughing at your obviously funny jokes, you may be close to being banned.  This isn't always the case. There's always a chance you're actually not very funny. (Your mom and other relatives laughing at your jokes doesn't count...) If on the other hand people at one time thought you were funny and now aren't laughing, you may have gone a bit too far.

#3 - Some of your posts are being deleted - If you log onto your favorite site and notice that the 40 some posts you'd posted in a drunken rage the night before are missing, you might be about to get the boot.  That or you had another problem with your memory and are looking at a website you were never a member of in the first place. What was the name of the site you were on last night?

#2 - You're stuck in a circular argument - If you keep going round and round and round about things with the same people over and over and over again, and people start to complain, you're a potential candidate on American Ban Stand.
